Greetings from Mission Control!

A group of enthusiastic, creative people gather around a table in a room lined with bookshelves. The person in the front takes a selfie of the whole group; several at the back of the photo are waving at the camera, arms outstretched; all are smiling.

Pack your astronaut ice cream – we're going on a trip! The Writers' Room, comprised of playwrights Elizabeth Salazar, Erin Lerch, Michael Lin, Kevin Mullins, and Sari Boren, along with Showrunner Jake Scaltreto, Story Producer Melissa de Jesus, and Science Advisor Dray Bowens-Rubin, has been meeting regularly since early January. Each playwright is writing a 15-minute section of a new, full-length, science fiction play, which takes place on a spaceship outward bound from our home planet, over a period of several thousand years and spanning many generations.

The team in the Writers' Room has been sharing some thoughts about the project on social media over the past few weeks. See them all on our YouTube channel!

• The crew will grow through spring and summer, as we sign on actors, designers, technicians, engineers, and maybe a robot or two... (click the "collaborator interest form" button below if you might like to be one of them!)

Erin Lerch on Pinch Point, Playwriting, and... Penguins?

Playwright Erin Lerch took a break from exploring Antarctica and befriending penguins to talk about finding hope in the post-apocalyptic world of their new play Pinch Point.

Join us for the FREE public reading of Pinch Point Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30pm at the Mosesian Center for the Arts.

Mark your calendar to join us for a free new play reading!

Since last fall, the Earthlings have been busy in secret, developing a new play called Pinch Point with playwright Erin Lerch.

We first met Erin when we produced their 10-minute play Random Access Memory in the 2020 Boston Theater Marathon: Special Zoom Edition, and have been avid fans of their work ever since. When director Josh Glenn-Kayden (of our pandemic-canceled June 2020 premier of Amy Berryman's Walden) reached out to us about working with Erin on Pinch Point, it was clear this was the perfect collaboration to lean in to our apocalyptic tendencies while stepping out into the sunlight.

Join us Tuesday, March 21st, 7:30 PM at the Mosesian Center for the Arts for the FREE first public reading of Pinch Point!
