Open Auditions for Blood Relations
Flat Earth Theatre announces open auditions for Blood Relations by Sharon Pollock to be held June 9th and 10th from 7 - 9 PM at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street in Watertown.
"Did she do it?" is the central question of Pollock's 1980 historical drama about the 1892 murders of Andrew and Abigail Borden in their home in Fall River. Taking place ten years after the crime, the play attempts to revisit the events leading up to the brutal murders and explores the possible motives of the only suspect to be tried in connection to the killings, the Borden's daughter, Lizzie. While she was acquitted of the crime, debate as to her guilt continues to this day. Flat Earth is seeking to fill both male and female roles from mid-twenties through sixties. Actors auditioning will be asked to cold read selections from the script and need not have anything prepared. Headshots and resumes are accepted, but not required. Rehearsals for Blood Relations will be held weekday evenings beginning June 15th in Watertown.
Blood Relations will be performed August 7th through the 15th in the Arsenal Center for the Arts Black Box Theater. For more information, contact auditions@flatearththeatre.com.
